Why the LAWYER’S CUP?
Regattas are the best solution for uniting different aspects of communication and learning. Competition created in a race inspires the entire crew to perform their best as a single team. Running tactical decisions, coordination, team spirit, and perfect knowledge of the rules are fundamental in winning a regatta. The objective is to create a setting of communication and discussion, which is more and more the way one collaborates in the Italian market. As in the America's Cup, the event will crown a Defender (currently the Chiomenti Office located in Rome) that will defend their title and aim to have their name inscribed yet again on the golden cup: The Permanent Trophy of the Utet Giuridica Lawyer’s Cup.
In 2012 the event will have several novelties, starting with the regatta field. It has been moved to the windy Lake Garda; logistics will be handled by the Circolo Vela Gargnano. There will also be new watercraft: the fast and reactive Dolphin 81 MR One Design. There will be alternating opportunities to practice in the water, training sessions with a coach, and the possibility to rent boats in order to refine technique and team coordination in the weeks preceding the competition.
REGISTRATIONS
Every legal studio must have a crew composed of five members. The two formulas for participation are as follows:
FORMULA FOR STUDIOS

The office team can rotate in more members of the crew throughout the two days of the regatta as long as they are all insured (see attached Regatta Announcement Lawyer’s Cup).
FORMULA FOR SINGLES
The team can be composed of lawyers from different law offices or of a Territorial Order (Order of Roman Lawyers, Milanese Lawyers, etc.). The team will assume the name of the individuals who compose the team.
